Section 4 Understanding Salvation - 14 The Path Of Salvation

In the sculpture, God calls Himself the waiting Christ because He is patiently waiting for us to be willing to go home. He gives the example of a little child and a mother in a park, the mother tells the child “it’s time to go home.” but the child is not yet ready to go home, bargaining to stay longer. Everyone will eventually walk this path. No one shall be left behind.

When I received this sculpture, I was given a song to accompany it. It was the theme song to the Walt Disney movie Aladdin. It begins with Aladdin offering the princess his hand and asks the poignant question: “Do you trust Me?”

Likewise this is Jesus invitation to come with Him and trust that He will take us home safely. He promises us that as we journey on, He will open up a whole new world for us. And based on my experience, you’ll never want to go back. This is why when I asked Him what this path is all about, He gave me the sculpture of Him on a magic flying carpet. I sanctify you with My love.

The chalice of blood with a heart. On the heart is the name Jesus (JHS)

Message of the preceding sculpture (Jesus Christ, the Shepherd)

Meaning: As we walk with Jesus, it is Him who carries us home. He takes the load off. Just as He took in our sin when He drank the cup of poison, and shed His blood so He can give us back our life. He does this over and over for each and every one of us, cleansing us of our sins, the sins of others and the sins of the world. He crucifies Himself for each of us to defeat the sins that can cause our death. He repeats the sacrifice of love so we can be saved. So, even though it may seem that the journey is hard, the truth is, He is the one carrying everything for us.
